Description
Support a special needs Adult w/ Autism with ADL's (toileting, bathing, dressing, brushing teeth, meals, etc.) Ensure safety of client and home environment. Document escalated behaviors, meals, snacks, staff engagement, incidents, etc.

Skills
Previously worked with adults with Autism. Able to de-escalate aggressive behavior according to Professional Crisis Management Association, Pro-Act, or similar. CPR/First-Aid certified, 2 years of college in the area of special education, psychology, or related field. Strong interpersonal/communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Notes
Compassion is important for this role as well as creating a trauma-informed environment. Having positive self-regulation skills is a must.
